The Indigenous Governance Resource Network

A trusted directory of Indigenous-owned businesses, organizations, professional services, and practical resources that support Indigenous governance across Canada.

The Network is being developed to help Indigenous organizations, Boards, administrators, governance professionals, and leadership teams identify relevant service providers with greater confidence.

The directory is currently in development. Eligible businesses and organizations may submit their information for future consideration.

The Network

Why This Directory Matters in Governance

Good governance depends on more than policies, meetings, and Board decisions. Indigenous organizations regularly need trusted businesses, advisors, facilitators, trainers, meeting services, cultural resources, professional support, and practical tools to carry governance work forward.

A well-developed Indigenous-owned directory can help organizations:

  • Identify Indigenous-owned service providers
  • Strengthen Indigenous procurement
  • Support Indigenous economic participation
  • Find services relevant to Boards and governance administration
  • Build relationships with businesses that understand Indigenous organizational contexts
  • Reduce the time spent searching for appropriate vendors and professional support
  • Create stronger connections between governance organizations and Indigenous-owned businesses

The Indigenous Governance Resource Network is intended to become a practical national resource for the people responsible for supporting Indigenous Boards, organizations, governance offices, meetings, programs, and leadership initiatives.
